Major General Robert B. Brown
Major General Robert B. Brown was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry upon graduation from the United States Military Academy in 1981. His military education includes the Infantry Basic Course, the Armor Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College, and the National War College. He holds a Masters Degree in National Security & Strategic Studies from the National Defense University and a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Virginia.
His command experience includes Commander, D Company, 1st Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado; Commander, 2d Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment (Mechanized), 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas and Operation Joint Forge in Bosnia-Herzegovina; and Commander, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Washington and Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraq.
